1. Can I import my existing data into your software?
- Yes, our module can import units, specifications on the units, parts inventory, list of suppliers and customers. All other data can also be imported by building an import program tailored for your requirements.
2. Does the software meet the standards of the SAAQ, MTO or DOT?
- Yes, within MIR-RT it’s possible to configure the maintenance schedules according to criteria for your needs. You can also configure the inspection sheet to be identical to that of the SAAQ, MTO or DOT or any other government organization. Some inspection sheets are included upon installation of the software.
3. Am I limited to a few reports?
- MIR-RT includes a query manager that lets you create and customize all necessary reports from a list of reports (82) already existing.
4. Can I manage several garages?
- Yes. MIR-RT offers the possibility to create branches and to manage work orders and inventory management by branch. It also shows the history and statistics of repairs to any vehicle regardless of the branch where the repair was done.
5. Are the mechanics required to complete work orders manually?
- The mechanics use the “Real Time” (RT) mode in the garage. They easily enter all the mechanical work they do with the help of a few keys. The details of the activity, time and parts used automatically feed the work order. The “Real Time” station also allows mechanics to obtain accurate information on vehicle warranties, schematics, shop manuals and repair history.
6. What is the procedure for performing an inventory count?
- You have two choices. The first one will be to print a list of parts, do your count on paper and then enter it back into the inventory count option. The second option is to use a "PIU"(Portable Inspection Unit). The PIU is a handheld computer that lets you "scan" part barcodes and manually enter the quantity. After the count, the information is transfer automatically in MIR-RT and allows you to save valuable time.
7. How to manage inventory when you have several branches?
- The inventory management module is a multi-branch inventory module; it allows you to manage stock in each of your garages and allows you to consult with all branches from your office. This module manages inventory by barcode, if desired, and interact in real time with all branches. A complete purchase order option is include in this module so you can send and receive orders directly from suppliers.
